Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what this is

FamaCue is an online tool that finds the questions people ask about a topic, shows which ones your website already answers, and helps you plan and write what is missing. It is provided by Bona Fama Digital, a business based in Nairobi, Kenya ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using FamaCue you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy notice. If you use FamaCue for a business, you confirm that you may bind that business.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18. Give accurate details and keep your login private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

3. The free trial

A new account gets a 7-day free trial. No card is needed. The trial has smaller limits than a paid plan (for example fewer searches, one short article shown on screen, and no downloads); the Billing & usage page lists them. There is one trial per website. If you do not choose a plan, the trial ends, you lose access to your results, and we delete your project data 30 days after the trial ends. Your login stays so you can come back and subscribe.

4. Plans, prices and payment

Plans, allowances and prices are shown on the Billing & usage page and on our website. Prices are in US dollars and may not include taxes that apply where you live; where we must charge tax, it is added at checkout. You can pay monthly, or yearly at ten months' price for twelve. Payments are taken by Paystack on its own secure page; we never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Paystack emails a receipt for every payment. If a payment fails, we keep your access for a short grace period while it is retried; after that your account is suspended until the payment succeeds. We may change prices or allowances for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app.

5. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law gives you that right or where we fail to provide the service. If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us within 14 days and we will look at it promptly.

6. FamaCue included with an AI SEO plan

If you subscribe to one of our AI SEO plans (Basic, Grow or Dominate), FamaCue Starter, Pro or Agency is included at no extra charge for as long as that AI SEO subscription is active. When the AI SEO subscription ends, the included access ends too; you can then subscribe to FamaCue directly. We may set up included access ourselves and may change it by telling you.

7. Your data and Google Search Console

You keep ownership of the data you bring to FamaCue. You give us permission to process it only to run the service for you. If you connect Google Search Console, we ask for read-only access, use it only to show you your own results, and you can disconnect at any time here or at your Google account's permissions page. 8. AI-written content

FamaCue can draft articles and pages with the help of AI. AI can make mistakes, including wrong facts, outdated information and unsuitable wording. You must read, edit and fact-check everything before you publish it and you are responsible for what you publish. We do not guarantee that content is accurate, original, free of third-party rights, or will rank in any search engine. Subject to these Terms, you may use the content you generate for your own or your clients' websites.

9. Fair use and what you must not do

Do not misuse FamaCue: do not try to get around limits or the trial, share a login between businesses, resell or republish our data as a competing product, scrape or overload the service, attack it, or use it for anything unlawful or to create misleading or harmful content. Plans described as unlimited are subject to fair use (for the Agency plan, up to 50 projects). We may limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.

10. The service and third parties

We work to keep FamaCue available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". It relies on search data, AI and payment services run by other companies, and on Google Search Console, so results can change, be delayed or be unavailable. We may improve, change or remove features. Features marked "coming soon" are not part of your plan yet.

11. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, traffic, rankings or data, or for decisions you make from the results. Our total liability for anything connected with FamaCue is limited to the amount you paid us for FamaCue in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Ending your account

You may stop using FamaCue at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms, do not pay, or if we stop offering the service (in which case we will give notice and refund any prepaid period we cannot honour). On ending, we delete your project data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law (such as payment records).

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using FamaCue after that, you accept the new Terms.

14. Law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction, without taking away any rights you have under the law where you live. For questions, use the support page inside FamaCue or the contact form at bonafama.digital/contact-us.
